SPRING 2009 AIR SHIFT APPROVED

NEW DAY & TIME : THURSDAYS 8-10PM

So I finally got my air shift at Radiolaspositas.com approved!
If you haven't noticed, I have a new name for my show, Chops Chop Hour just could not cut it this time around. **sorry to anyone who happened to like that name** Anyways the new name is:

UNDERLIVE

It is a mix between Underground and Live. Which is what i aiming for. Unlike the last show I had this is going to be more serious but it will still be fun. I promise. This semester I will be featuring some up and coming bands. Playing their music, possible interviews, and hopefully just having some come in and chill out here on the show. The main focus will be rock and underground rap. I will continue to have guest speakers over the phone including people who want to just call in and be on the air. So I hope everyone who tunes in this time around will have loads of fun and will listen to a new artists on my show that they happen to like.

Listen in at Radiolaspositas.com or on Itunes Radio>College>Radio Las Positas.

Getting an air shift this semester was tough it included a test on how to use the equipment, an underwriter for the show, and approval from the station manager.

I have an awesome underwriter.

SECTION ENTERTAINMENT
(sectionentertainment.com)

They book events for various venues. Like the one that is going on this weekend at LIVE @ the Burro. The Dirty Heads and Mishka are playing along with a couple others. The Dirty Heads are a Hip Hop/Reggae/Acoustic band out of Huntington Beach. Their latest album, Any Port in a Storm , includes the song "Stand Tall" and is one of the best albums I have heard in a while. I had the pleasure of meeting them before and talked to them a bit last time they rolled through The Burning Burro and this weekend I have that pleasure again. Except this time it will be in an interview. Mishka is an Acoustic/Reggae/Soul artist out of Bermuda, who actually worked with Matthew McConaughey for his most recent album Above the Bones. Mishka has been around for more than a decade and I am looking forward to seeing him play on stage the same night as The Dirty Heads. It is going to be an awesome show and I hope to see all of your wonderful faces there.
